I have not seen this error unless there is a problem with the file
itself. I typically use excel more than any other program. Have you
thought about trying to use the 'excel help'

http://www.dummies.com/how-to/content/get-help-in-excel-2007.html)
function. It might be able to tell you how to correct the file name or
destination in order for you to open them on this operating system.
