You don't want to do anything with a trial version. You'll need to get the
appropriate software and use the existing key.

: This is more in anticipation of a problem!
:
: I visited a client this morning who was having all sorts of problems with
: their Acer PC. Finally, with ACER Support's advice, we decided to format
the
: hard drive and reinstall XP Pro. No problem there and all activated just
fine.
:
: In 2007, my client purchased Office 2007 Standard licence and installed on
: their PC, of course this has been lost and I now need to reinstall Office
: 2007 Standard.
:
: Problem:
: We can't find the installation CD but we do have the product key.
:
: Is it a simple matter of downloading the package and then using the
product
: key previously used in 2007?
:
: The download process provided me with a trial product key. Which should I
: use when reinstalling, the trial key or the one purchased in 2007?
:
: Many thanks
