All these questions are for a reason. We do not have your computer in front of us and we cannot read (understand ) your issue because you have posted vague answers. Maybe to you it sounds like all the information but we need to know more.

When someone reverts to " Whatever" then it becomes even harder to answer and help

Take the time and read the following and then post back. Thank you

It's Retail, licensed for three machines... Any suggestions on how
to fix this?

Err "Retail" on it's own is NOT licensed for three machines unless
it is a retail version of Home and Student.

Whatever! It came with two Dells I purchased. It is licensed for 3
computers. Any suggestions on how to fix the problem I'm having with
Office 2007?

"Whatever" does not answer the question.
A friendly tip - it doesn't pay to be flippant with answers here
because you just waste the time of those who volunteer to help.
Did you PAY for this version of Office over and above what you paid
for the computers?
If not, then as Peter says, you have a TRIAL version, not a FULL
version.

Answers!? What answers? These answers are crap!! I came here to get some help for an issue (a very annoyiong issue in which I could get no work done using Office 2007 which I've used for almost 2 years) and all I get are shallow questions and the wordsmith police. I do not have a trial version of Office 2007. I have a full version which I purchased along with two laptops and yes I paid for it over and above the cost of the laptops. It carries a license to install on three machines. Thanks so much for turning a question about an issue concerning Office 2007 crashing on my system into some finger pointing nonesense trying to incorrectly tell me which version of Office I have. Here's a friendly tip - When you don't have a clue how to help with an issue, stay out and don't try to degrade the matter into some sort of drivel on a lower level. Try to approach the problem with the depth in which the problem calls for. You gave no suggestions, no thoughts as to what to do, just bantering about the type of Office when the issue is much larger and then capitalizing TRIAL and FULL as if I can't read it otherwise is useless and flippant all on your own.

After much focus and effort, I was able to at least bound the problem to SP2. I will provide a separate post as to the steps I took to address this problem in case others (and there are others) might find it hepful.
