Re: Office 2007 without having 2003

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Running a registry cleaner is asking for trouble and they are snake oil. If the OP has a problem like a trial version of Office 2003 installed then snake oil registry cleaners will do nothing for him.

Cheers,

Earle

Running a Registry Cleaner is asking for trouble. Do not run any . They are all snake oil remedies and it does nothing except give you trouble . If you do not know the registry then do not touch it.

you might want to
run a registry cleaner.

also, you might want
to check your file associations
and ensure that the .doc
extension is set to open
with word 07.

I have installed office 2007 without ever having 2003 on my machine.
When I try to open a 2003 doc. thru e-mail or other, it trys to install 2003
and eventuality ask for the install disk for 2003 which I nevar had.
Is there a patch for this?
