Re: Font Problems after Vista

Hi Mary,

Sorry for the delay we were on holiday break at the University.

None of my hardware has changed. The printer I use is the one I had before.
Funny thing is, I had the fonts after I upgraded to Vista. I just lost them
sometime in December. Arial Black and Arial Rounded are gone, so is Lucida
Calligraphy, which I use alot making certificates. Others are gone as well.
It is as if I somehow downloaded an upgrade that added all these other fonts
I don't want but lost ones I loved.

Now, in addition to my own personal HP Laser Jet B &W printer, they did
download a driver for my computer for our communial minolta printers but that
shouldn't affect my other printer.

Do you have a default printer? Does it have fonts installed? If you select a

I've had my machine since April. It was new then. It came with Windows XP
home and inorder to get on our University server, I did a full clean install
in October. I've had some driver issues but otherwise, the transition went
smoothly. About two weeks ago I noticed brochures and documents I created had
the fonts all changed. Sometimes they come back on...then they go away. My
font options have all changed also. I can do a screen cap if you want to see.

Hello. Work for University and have Office 2007 and used to run XP - but
recently upgraded to Vista business. Aside from the usual getting used to
things, everything went fine. A month after installing Vista - I go to
open
some old documents I created and got the font error. Usually this is in
Publisher. I have a lot of new fonts - quite a long list of ones I have
never
heard of, and old ones like Arial Bold and Arial Rounded Bold are gone.
These
are also missing in Word. New projects are missing the tried and true
fonts.
When I send things to colleagues to print (because I lost printing
capabilities with Vista) the fonts do not transfer over and their
computers
substitute a different one.
