I've asked this question before, but it happens so seldom that I forget how it was solved in the past! I'm using Office 2003, WinXP. In My Pictures, I'm trying to highlight some photos to move them to a new folder, and they keep duplicating themselves. Thanks for help with this.
In addition to what Bob I said, Using Windows Explorer set up with the folder pane on left and file pane on right, you can click on the first file in the right pane and hold the shift key down and click on the last file to select a contiguous block of files or hold the Ctrl key down as you single click on each individual file to highlight the names. Once all the files are highlighted in the left pane, drill down to the folder where you want to place the file (but don't highlight the folder in the left pane.) Go back to the right pane and right click and drag the files you want to move to the folder on the left pane. Release the right mouse button and select move from the menu that opens.
