Re: Office 2007 Prof. constant crashing

Hello Bob,
Thank you for responding.
Here are the details you mentioned:
Dell XPS desktop
HP Photosmart C7280 all-in-one
Windows XP Professional Version 5.1 (Build 2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.070227-2254)
Avast antivirus
Misc. Dell software
Adobe 8.1
Apple/iTunes
Broadcom Advanced Control Suite
Deamon Tools
Digimarc MyPictureMarc Watermarking Plugin
DivX Web Player
Google Earth
Herma Labelling software
HP software
IncrediMail
Logitech Quickcam software
Logitech io2 Digital Pen software
Nokia software
MS Digital Image Suite 10
MS Office Prof. 2007, with some add-ons
SmartDraw 7
Error report with Outlook: szAppName: outlook.exe szAppVer: 12.0.6300.5000

In Word it happens a lot when opening a document and closing it without any
changes, mostly when Word runs in compatibility-mode
In Excel the same actually
The documents/sheets are automatically closed and mostly started-up again
with a blank document.
Outlook-crashes considerably lessened after changing my CompuServe account
from imap to pop.
Office 2003 ran without any problems with all above mentioned software,
exept the HP C7280 software. However, the problems with Office 2007 occured
already before installing this printer.
Hoping you have enough to go on now and that you can help,

Hi Scholte,

You haven't provided much to go on. What version of Windows, what brand of antivirus, what printer brand and version, what other
software or add-ins are you using, what are the steps you're using when Word crashes and what is the exact error message.

Is it only on old files, or on new ones, etc.

If you're using a 3rd party registry cleaner that can sometimes lead to more issues. I've had to reinstall Windows then Office etc
fresh on occassion from that when nothing else worked.

Many components of Office 2007 Prof. keep crashing, i.e. Outlook [at least 10
times a day], Word [several times per day], Power Point.
My computer is up to date and has excellent firewall and virusscanner.
Ran Diagnostic Tools: no problems found.
Cleaned registry: no difference.
Contacted Microsoft Holland: no real help there.
In the mean time the problem is getting worse.
Can anyone help me with a solution please?
