If the "Customer" field of the record is empty, would not the box be
also empty or open? And so the obverse? Simply query you database for
the Customer name field being blank or not.

something that will tell me which boxes are open and closed. but, I want it
to somehow pick up the information that the box is closed when I input a new

number is part of the customer information. As I am self-taught, I don't
know how to do all of the cool and fancy things with access. But I am hoping
