Office2007 runs on WinXp just fine
You can install all or part of 2007 in parallel with 2003, but only a single
instance of Outlook

Hi, i am not sure if this is the correct forum for this question, but I
have
been using XP Pro and Office 2003 for some years now and I love it.
However,
I tutor retired people, many of whom have new laptops with Vista and
Office
2007. I sometimes flounder when I am trying to help them find something
on a
Word menu because it is so different. Would it be worth my purchasing a
copy of Office 2007 and, if so, can I run it on my current laptop with XP
Pro, or do I have to use Vista?
As an aside, i know of someone who went to Office 2007, hated it and went
back to 2003. If I make the change it is unlikely i would do that, but I
do
seek comfort that the bugs have been ironed out now??
Perhaps there is another way that I (for my tutoring purposes) can
familiarise myself with the menu system of Word 2007 - is there a site I
could view?
i would be grateful for any guidance, and apologise if i have put this in
the wrong place!! :-)
.
