Re: Upgrade from Office 2000 to 2003

If I want to put the Office 2003 on a desktop and a lap top, do I have to
remove the existing Office 2000 from each one before I download the new 2003?

You will need to get the Office Professional then - or have your daughter bring home the CD she used to install at school. Student and Teacher Edition is Office Standard re-branded to allow for additional installations. Office Professional has additional programs in the suite that do not come with Office Standard/Student Teacher's Edition.

|||| You would probably be okay with the upgrade but Murphy's Law says
|||| that something is going to happen that requires you to use that
|||| product key. (I don't know what but "stuff happens".)
||||
|||| *If* it's within your budget, get the full version of Office - and
|||| make sure you know where that key is. If you do opt for that, get
|||| it from Amazon.com. Might as well save a few dollars on your
|||| purchase. They frequently offer free shipping, which is very nice.
||||
|||| Also, make sure you check out the various editions of Office so
|||| that you get what you need. Why pay for products you have no need
|||| for?
