If your Office software came preinstalled on your computer by Dell, then you'll need to ask Dell for a replacement CD (no guarantee that they will provide one, but you can ask). Microsoft will not replace OEM software unless the OEM is no longer in business, which cannot be said of Dell. As discussed in http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=326246 "How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and product upgrades, or replace product manuals", your Office product ID number will tell you if the software is OEM (do NOT post your product ID number here). If it is any consolation, an OEM version usually costs about a third of what a retail version costs, so you got the software cheap.
You have no one to blame but yourself if you lost the original CDs. If you forgot where you parked your car, would you expect the car manufacturer to give you a free new car to replace the old car you lost?

So if I don't have the disks, or where the partition is hidden, then I can't put it back on, period?

Please read the reply to the same question you asked a few days ago.

We lost the disk for our office 2003. I want to re do my system so that I can start from when we first got the computer, but I can't do it unless I have this program because I need it for school, and we really can't afford to buy it again. Is there anything I can do to save it somewhere so I can put it back on? I have tried emailing it and saving it to a disk, but those ways haven't worked for me. Any other suggestions?
