Re: Outlook 2000 won't let me delete messages

Well...you could export the entire PST...but exlude the "Deleted Items" folder and then immediately import to a new PST. Logically, that should work...but, in practice, who knows? It's worth a try.

Tim -

Scanpst.exe worked for 1 of the emails, but not the other. I ran it several
times, both before and after rebooting my computer. After the first time,
each time I ran it, I received a message that their wasn't anything wrong
with the .pst file.

Is there anything else I can do that you know of?

Where do I find Scanpst.exe ?

SUMMARY: The Inbox Repair tool (Scanpst.exe) is designed to help repair
problems that are associated with personal folder (.pst) files. The Inbox
Repair tool is included on the first Microsoft Office 2000 CD-ROM.

MORE INFORMATION: The Inbox Repair tool is automatically installed with all
English-language Outlook installation options depending on your operating
system.
For Microsoft Windows NT and Microsoft Windows 2000: C:\Program Files\Common
Files\System\Mapi\1033\NT
For Microsoft Windows 95 and Microsoft Windows 98: C:\Program Files\Common

Unlike the Microsoft Office 97 version of the tool, Office 2000 does not
