and give it a shot.
I know that for the retail versions of Office 2007 (trials from http://trymicrosoftoffice.com), you can download the trial and convert it into a full retail version with a valid product key.
I don't know if the same applies to the volume license only edition Enterprise.
Are you sure your drive cannot read DVDs? A CD-RW that can't read DVDs must be 4 or 5 yrs old at least...
