Do you have a back up of your pst files? Is your pst files gone also in
their default location ?
Re-install OL if pst files are still there but
make a backup of them FIRST

The PST files will still be right there on the disk and most
other personal configuration.

Re-install, open and hook up the (old) PST files.

Shoot I have maybe 20 of these things, perhaps 30 Gig or more.
Been collecting them since 1994 and never thrown a single one
away yet even across new installs. (I don't keep them all "hooked
into" Outlook but they are still there if I need them.

After all the years spent building computersI cannot believe this has just
happened to me, but it has, and I am hoping there is a recovery process.

I went to install Publisher 2003 from the Office 2003 CD, and in my haste
I
ticked the Publisher box, and unticked Outlook, because i didn't want to
uninstall it. Well that was my intention, and is pretty well the norm for
most software. But not Microsoft as I just found out the bloody hard way!

Instead of just adding Publisher to my Office, it uninstalled Outlook and
I
have basically lost 6,000 emails, and my address book.

Is there anyway to get my emails back? Please help, I am shattered.

kind regards
russell
