Re: SharePoint Alerts don't open in Outlook 2007

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

same happened to us today. we are running SBS 2003/Exchange
2003/Outlook 2007/Outlook 2003/WSS 3.0.
aslos found that alerts don't work preoperly anyway. If you set an
alert for items created by you, you don't get any emails. 'Any changes'
works fine but we b=need something more specific.

Hi Everyone -

We are running SharePoint 2007 and I'm running Outlook 2007. I have alerts
set up that send me e-mails. When I try to open an alert from within Outlook
2007 I receive an error message "Cannot open this item". But when I go to
Webmail I'm able to open the item and see the contents.

Is this a security setting in Outlook 2007 or am I missing something or is
this a known issue with Outlook 2007?

Thanks-
