You would be advised to search for *.pst, to include hidden, then make
copies of all pst's found.
Then check these copies on another PC. Do not use any Import option, simply
open in Outlook.
Copies need to be located either on the hard drive or external drive, not
cd.
Once satisfied copies are OK work on your faulty installation.

myHelp!
Recently my computer suffered a hardware malfunction and I thought all
componentsdata had been lost. Turns out the hard drive was intact but some
wasin the screen were screwed. I was relieved to discover that my data
backup ofintact and had asked the person working on the machine to make a
all ofthe PST file in Outlook for me.
When I got my machine back, I discovered that not only Outlook, but
and thenthe Microsoft Office programs would only stay open for a few seconds
andshut down (no error messages generated). I was going to simply delete
anotherre-install the program, but when I tested the back-up PST file on
"contacts"computer's Outlook installation, I discovered that the entire
as asection was missing. Unfortunately, I have been building this section

fromif the information is still intact and if so, find a way to recover it
enoughmy crashed program. At present, I can't keep the program open long
theto see if my information is even still in there.
I tried the "repair" funcion on the Office disk, but I am still having
helpsame problem.
Has anyone else had this problem with Office before and/or can anyone
and fortroubleshoot a fix so I can get Outlook running without re-installing
sure losing my data?
Thanks!
