This does spill over to all the apps in Office and after a couple of weeks I
finally gave up chasing my tail, completely removed all files and folders,
uninstalled, and reinstalled Office. That was a pain because I lost all my
setting and "customizations" and had that to do all over again. It did solve
my problem, but it is a mystery to me why this would start happening all of
a sudden after 3 years of no problems.
I hope you get your problem solved. BTW, I thought it was my AV program and
ruled that out by turning it off while I was trying to troubleshoot this and
besides Office and my AV program worked side-by-side before, why not now. I
would not reformat and reinstall windows for this problem.

I have also been picking up the same error in Outlook for about the last
week
and a half, and unable to keep Word alive. Tonight, it migrated over to
Excel - haven't tried Access or PowerPoint to see if the problem
transferred
there as well. I've been given the file name hpzpm309.dll as the supposed
culprit to my problem. After scanning my desktop & laptop, I found the
file
buried along with other files for my HP deskjet 5150 printer. I copied
the
file from my laptop to the desktop - no change in operation.
Searching through MS Office troubleshooting database, it made mention that
it could possibly be my anti-virus defintion file(s) causing the problem.
I'm starting to think that's a bunch of hog wash as I unplugged my
ethernet
cable, and then started disabling McAfee one piece at a time, and still
couldn't keep Word or Excel up. No problems with my laptop which is
running
Norton. And yes, I checked McAfee's last update which was today.
I'm at a loss of what to try next. I've tried the repair option of
installation of MS Word & MS Office as a whole, I've removed and
reinstalled
MS Word, dug out the chain saw ... just kidding on that last one. I'm
starting to debate whether or not it's worth a week of putting this
machine
back together after formatting the hard drive.

The cvr file has a different number.
There is a similiar error message for Excel, Power Poit, Publisher.

I have been using MS Office Business Edition 2003 since it cam out
without
a
hitch - never a problem. The past two weeks for whatever reason, when
Outlook opens there is a message to the effect that Word could not open
and
Outlook has to close. When opening word, the message says there is a
failure
to open Outlook and must shut down. I have done detect and repair in
both
Outlook and Word and then a complete re-install...
Is there something else I should be doing here to fix this problem?
TIA,
