Thanks Bob,
I may have found the answer.
The form has a series of small tables used to align the fields.
The part of the form that was crashing had a bunch of small tables with
fields within a larger table.
I got rid of the outside larger table and all seems well so far.
Thanks again for the links.
If I find that my solution is not working, I will try the links.

I have taken over a project from another developer. It is a MS Word 2003
document with added Fields and some macros and other sub routines in the
ThisDocument module as well as the Module1 module. As I am entering data, the
system crashes more often then not for no apparent reason. It seems to happen
if I move sporadically up and down the document. I have error traps in my
subs but they do not catch this problem.
Also, when I move to a new field on the document, the document jumps up and
down and sometimes it allows me to get to the field and other times it
doesn't. If it doesn't, then I have to try a second time and then it usually
works but it is then that I sometimes get the error and sometimes, the error
just seems to happen randomly.
I get a message that MS Word has encountered a problem and must close. Then
I get the option to save my work and restart Word.
When I look at the event log, my error event ID = 1000
I would like to send you my document to look at in case there is something
wrong that I did but I don't know how to attach it.
Any suggestions would br greatly appreciated. >>
