Re: Is Office 2007 bakcward compatible with Office 2000?

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

There is a Compatibility Pack available:
http://www.microsoft.com/office/preview/beta/converter.mspx.

Note that users need to have it installed in order to be able to open
files using the new file format. Otherwise you can save the files in
the 97 - 2003 file format prior to distributing them.

I need to know if Office 2007 applications are backward compatible
with
Office 2000 applications?

Please advise.
