Dear Mr. Buckland:
Thank you for your response. I knew the TR was not a standalone version.
That was not my question. I wanted to know who was having problems, what
beta-testers were thinking, and who was having conflicts with the various
anti-virus, anti-spyware, and software firewall applications. Prior to
posting my questions, I had already read several post on who was encountering
problems. I am still pondering on whether to download and install the TR
because right now I am experiencing minor inconviences. All of the problem
posts I have read about I have not had. My Office 2007 is working just fine
and my Microsoft Office 2003 is working just fine. I can open all my 2003
files in the beta version. I can open all my files I create in the Office
2007 beta version and saved in the 2003 format and open them in any of the
Microsoft Office 2003 version. Right now I have a "if it can broke, why fix
it" dilemna. That is why I posted my questions. Any futher suggestions or
comments?

The Office 2007 Beta 2 Technical Refresh Update is not a standalone version, it is a patch update to MS Office 2007 Beta2, so there.
isn't a drive selection decision point in this case.
The MS Expression products will need to be updated versions as well (MS Expression Web shares some DLL files with Office 2007).

I had read about the Office Beta TR version now available for download. I
have Microsoft Office 2003 installed on my system. My OS is Windows XP2 with
all the updates. When Office 2007 Beta was released, before I downloaded I
asked if it was going to conflict with my Office 2003 if I installed it on a
different hard drive. I was told it would not. I downloaded and installed
Office 2007 Beta on my G drive and have not encountered any problems between
using the two application.
Now I keep reading about the Office 2007 TR. Before downloading and
installing, I decided to come to the forum to see what problems and issues us
testers were encountering. For those of you who downloaded and installed the
TR version, would you advise installing the TR version on the same G Drive,
and is it going to conflict with my Office 2003. Right now, I can use either
application (not at the same time) and everything works just fine. Once and
a while, I get an error message, send it off to Microsoft, but basically I
have not encountered any major errors like files not opening, operating
errors, memory allocation error, etc. I have not to reboot my system because
of the beta version. Even my ZoneAlarm Security Suite is working with the
Office 2007 beta. However, I am relunctant to install the TR version because
I have read about compatibiity or conflict problems. Exactly what does this
TR version do to improve the performance of the beta version? I also am
beta-testing the Web Designer and Graphics Designer application and not
experiencing any problems with them either. Any suggestions?
