Sorry, my actual question was if you are able to use the Repair
function for the Office 2007 installation without encountering an
error. Based on your previous answer I suspect it did but could you
please confirm?
Also, if you are using Norton AV, in Norton Options in the
Miscellaneous section, turn off "Enable Office Plug-in" this is known
to cause the behavior you describe.

Are you able to use Add/Remove Programs and repair the Office 2007
installation?

Beth,
Thank you for the reply.
I forgot the mention that I am running Office 2007 Beta 2.
I followed your instructions and got the following error:
Error 1303. Setup cannot access the folder C:\Config/Msi. Verify
that the
folder exists in your system and that you have sufficient
permissions to
update it. Retry/Cancel
Setup failed. Rolling back changes.
After the error the application launches.
I tried again, double-clicking on a word file and word launches,
but the
document is not displayed.

It may be that the file associations have been damaged. To repair
them
go to Start/Run and run the following:
winword /r
excel /regserver
powerpnt /regserver
msaccess /regserver

This started happening last week.
When double-clicking on office docs, word/excel/ppt..etc...The
application
launches but the docuement does not display.
I have to go to File, then open.
Same for Outlook for opening attachments, Outlook kicks out an
error, doc
not found, something like that.
What happened? Can I repair?
