Re: Uninstall Office 2003 Trial? Add/Remove returns Error Message!

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Is that all you get? A code and no error message? Take a look in your
Event Viewer in the Control Panel or go to Start/Run and run: Eventvwr

In the Applications section, see if you can find any additional
details about the error. With only a number it's a little difficult to
determine what is happening.

Thank you Beth, but when I attempt to run the LISTool, I get the
following
error code: 0x8007006e ?

If it makes any difference, my original (downloaded) Office.exe file
is
located in a folder on the desktop.

It sounds like the Local Installation Source (LIS) for Office 2003
was
moved or deleted. The LIS is used instead of the installation CD if
you want to add/remove features or remove Office. Do you recall
deleting or moving a folder called "Msocache"? In any event, you'll
need to obtain the Local Installation Source Tool which will help
you
correct the issue:

When I try to uninstall Trial Office 2003 (Downloaded Version)
Add/Remove
returns the following "The installation source for the product is
not
available. Verify that the source exists and that you can access
it."

I have the original Office.exe file on my desktop, but how do I
tell
A/R
where it is, or is there another solution?

Please help, I'm in a real bind here - Kevin
