Re: help w/uninstalling Microsoft Office Standard Trial Edition

I've deleted it but I am fairly certain I used Add/Remove Programs. It's
been a while since then and that's the way I would do it.

Did you try Windows Installer Cleaner?

Use this tool carefully.

Sorry, Jo Ann Paules, I did not make the situation clear enough. I have
never
installed either copy, the Office 2003 Trial or my Office 2003 copy from
my
disks.
I have heard others complain about this trial software interfering with
their copies of Office being installed before. I desparately need to
install
my copy of Office. The Office Trial has never been installed and is not
listed in Add/Remove programs, nor does it show up running the msicuu2.exe
mentioned by you under other posts here. Trial Assistant does, and I
deleted
that with Add/Remove.

What remains on my Hard Drive is in SWSETUP, two Folders called OffTriW,
3.02MB PLOOff03Tri, 1.91MB, and a 228MB folder called Preload. Then Under
Program Files, there is a 2.82MB folder called Office Trial Wizard.
That's
what
I'm trying to get off my Hard Drive so I can install my copy of Office
2003
and not
have any problems with installation or corrupting Microsoft Installer or
corrupting
my registry. So far it seems no one at either Microsoft or HP knows how to
remove
this trial software I didn't want in the first place.

HELP, please, as I must do some Excel and Word work soon!!!!! -- qquirks

You should have uninstalled the trial version before you installed the
full
version. Did you look in Add/Remove software?
