The file would be in the Windows System32 folder.
There is a download here

I replaced my old Microsoft Word View 97 and Excel View 97 programs with the
new Word View 2003 and Excel View 2003, but they don't work.
Trying to start them only yield this error message:
"The application has failed to start because MSO97v.DLL was noy found.
Re-installing the application may fix the problem",
but numerous re-installations have changed nothing.
I was adviced by a friend to use OpenOffice to view office documents instead,
and that works fine, but I feel that the graphical rendition of some documents
with complex graphics, is less clear than it used to be, with Word View 97 and
Excel View 97, so I wondered if there is some way to get Word View 2003 and
Excel View 2003 to work? The support knowledge base has nothing at all on
MSO97v.DLL and the error message gives no hints as to where the .DLL is
supposed to be, so even if I get hold of a copy of the DLL it won't help
much, I guess.
Does anyone here know how to fix it?
