Re: internet activity upon closing ms word

I have network activity, but I'm on a network. Look in tools, options, general, buttons at the bottom.

I hope I'm not...do you know where that's configured?...do you have internet activity when closing an ms word doc?

Are you perhaps using Online Help in office?

I have a wireless modem...the ms office/ms word is on my pc, not a network copy...this setup is all in my home and no one else was doing anything on the other 2 computers

can we cut to the chase?...do you know if ms office/ms word does some type of internet access when I open/close/work on my documents?...if so, why does it do that?...and if so, how can I turn it off?

thanx,

let me describe it better...I open a doc from a windows explorer
window....even for a small document (less than 1 page) when I click the close
(X) box, the hourglass cursor stays in place (meaning I can't do anything in
that windows explorer window)...what's going on?...I look at my wireless
network connection icon in the system tray, and I see data is going back and
forth on my internet connection...I am not accessing the internet anywhere I
know of from my computer, so I suspect it is ms word accessing "something"
via the internet...what is microsoft accessing?...why?...and how can I turn
this nuisance off?

thanx
Hal Kelley
