Re: Gradients on Pictures?
You could do this in PowerPoint by putting an autoshape with appropriate
transparency on top of the picture. You won't have nearly the control you'd
have in an image editing application, though.
Then, if you really need this in Word, select the pix and the transparent
autoshape, group them, and right-click and save as picture. Select PNG, then
insert the PNG into Word.

Hi there,
Is it possible to apply a Gradient onto a picture?
For example, a transparent gradient where my picture fades into the page
background? I do not want to use Photoshop or any similar image manip
program? Can I do it all in Word?
If not transparent, can I at least make it gradient/fade into the
background
colour? I.e. white.
Thanks, all the best,
David

I've just had a look at that code and it uses a standard VB UserControl (with its BackStyle property set to Transparent) to achieve transparency, and it uses the standard VB PaintPicture method to draw the desired image into a hidden VB Autoredraw Picture Box so that it ends up with the drawn image in the Image property of the Autoredraw Picture Box. ...
