RE: Fix the Office 2007 Beta Activation. It DOESN't work.

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Yep, small minded. At least I can read a comment and comprehend it. I'll
summarize it for you so you can understand it better mmmkay?!

1.) The problem that would make someone NOT want to install this program
isn't apparent until AFTER you install it.

2.) AFAWK this is not a "bug" in the software but a problem with their
servers. Servers which they are using in a production/non-beta fashion.

3.) MS made the software freely available because they GET SOMETHING OUT OF
IT. It's called FREE TESTERS AND PUBLICITY.

So Ian, please:

A) Understand a comment before replying with your drivel.

B) Understand that MS isn't giving you something for nothing. If you think
so then you would be the small minded person.

C) Understand the difference between a program bug and a server outage.

D) Understand the ability to plan something like this is as simple as not
requiring activation for a beta that you have to sign up for anyways.

E) Go find a clue-stick and beat yourself silly please.

If you don't like the software, don't use it!

Microsoft made PRE-RELEASE and sure-to-be-buggy apps available to you for
free, and you obviously cared enough to download and install them, and now
you're complaining? Didn't your mother teach you not to look a gift horse in
the mouth?

Just goes to show that some small-minded individuals will complain about
anything.

yes, it really is reduculous. Digg, Slashdot and other sites that get
hammered all to hell have ways to deal with too many users at one time via
mirroring, load balancing etc. But the great MS with all its money and
resources can't keep the activation servers up? What is your problem MS,
people here want to use the beta that you released HALF ASSED AND UNPREPARED.
This is the sole reason activation is bull. We obtained the software totally
legit and still we have to deal with this crap. I hope this problem causes
you many lost Office customers cause after a move like this you guys deserve
it.

24+ hours and still can't activiate the Office 2007 Beta...

The activation Wizard is unable to find a connection to the internet. Please
make sure that your connection is working properly and then retry activation
in a few minutes.
