1) English
2) 3 Data Files : Archive Folders, Personal Folders, Winfax Logs
3) C:\Documents and Settings\Jerry L. Nickerson\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst
(Personal Folders\Inbox
4) Did not rename Inbox
5) Inbox
thank you,
Also I just ran diagnostics and was notified there are 2 conflicting copies
of Outlook on my machine. On installation I selected to remove previous
versions, however, this action was obviously not completed. Would this cause
this problem?

I followed your steps explicitly and this did not solve the problem. The
Inbox did show there was one new message, however, when I opened it there was
no new messages there only the messages that were migrated from Outlook 2003
during the install. The Unread Mail Folder showed two new messages and I was
able to open it utilizing right click, open in new window, however, no new
messages were there either....I sent a test message from Outlook Express, it
showed it as having arrived in the inbox but when I opened the Inbox, no new
messages.....I am stumped.

I suggest you do the following and see if the problem is there:
1- Open your Control Panel
2- Click on "Mail"
3- Click on "E-mail accounts..."
4- For every account you see there, look underneath of the window, you can
see where the new e-mails are delievered. Click on each e-mail account, and
choose your inbox as your default e-mail delievery.
5- Click "Close"

Let us know if the problem resolved.

The activation problem aside, has anyone experienced the following:
New messages show as being in the specified folder, Inbox etc. however, they
cannot be view there. They actually reside in the Unread Mail Folder,
however, any attempt to open this folder generates an error message causing
Outlook to send error message and shut down. Cannot retrieve new
messages........
Please respond. Thanks,
JERRY
