See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/918165 "Problems in Windows Explorer or the Windows shell after you install security update MS06-015".
If you aren't comfortable with editing the Windows registry yourself, then go to http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm and scroll
down to Item No. 383 "Hewlett-Packard's Share-to-Web software - Fix". Download and run the script to automatically modify your registry as described in KB918165. You may need to temporarily disable your antivirus program in order to run the script.
Uninstalling the http://support.microsoft.com/kb/908531 (MS06-015) update from Start | Control Panel | Add or Remove Programs will leave your system unprotected against the issue described at http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/ms06-015.mspx .. And if automatic updates are enabled on your computer, then the update may be reinstalled automatically.
It is anticipated that Microsoft will release a revised version of the MS06-015 update on Tuesday, April 25.

i have a question i hope someone can help me with. I have a computer
with Win XP pro. Microsoft Office XP installed. When i try to save a
document, it hangs and will not save. The same thing happens with
Excel.
I removed the software and rebooted and reinstalled a fresh copy and it
still does this.
I went as far as uninstalling Office XP Pro and Installed Office Xp
Small Business and it does the same thing.
I ran adadware software and found very little and my antivirus Def's
are all up to date.
Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated.
