Re: OFFICELIVE: How to access email in an Office Live Basic servic

Common sense would tell me they would, or at least should lurk here to at
least keep an eye on the emergence of possible issues related to, oh, say,
the rollout of new beta products such as Office Live, Windows Defender, etc.
Isn't that the point of a beta, to work out the bugs, and aren't some of the
bugs going to show up here?!?

I am a fairly loyal Microsoft customer, but now I understand why some of the
more sophisticated computer users complain that they are slow to acknowledge
problems. It took me three email exchanges with Office Live support before
they finally admitted this was a known issue. In the first two emails they
acted like everything was fine, and I was just doing something wrong. If I
had given up after the first two emails (which I almost did), I would still
be grinding my teeth trying to figure out what I was doing wrong.

It seems to me an effective newsgroup, and, ahem, especially a Microsoft
sponsored newsgroup, would be one of the reliable places a customer could go
to learn about known issues. Somehow I doubt that I will receive a personal
notification from the "suport team" when they have fixed this problem. But
I'll let you know if I do.

If MSFT says they have elevated the issue to their support team, then I
would wait to hear from that support team. Microsoft does not lurk here as
a rule so you are better off interfacing directly with the Office Live! Team
than this newsgroup.

After furious head scratching, williams2006 asked:

| I am pleased to report I may not be a complete idiot. According to
| Office Live Support, via email, "a few of our other valuable
| customers have also notified up about this issue. This issue has been

| working diligently to determine a solution."
|
| Man, I expect a few bugs when trying out a beta, but this seems to be
| a major goof. One of the main reasons for setting up a website is to

| How about an update Bob, or any MVP?
