Since I own it, I wouldn't need a group to pirate for me. Maybe you should
have read this thread from the beginning. By the way, the software IS office
2000. It's not like anyone really wants it much these days. I just happen to
have the two discs that were sent with the computer I bought back in 2000.
That computer is gone and the new one I have I was able to load the software
last year. I don't have the keycodes anymore because the manual that they
were on got tossed. My bad. I doubt if you could have helped anyway.

None of work for Microsoft. I suspect you need a mewsgroup for software
pirates. Unfortunately, We can't help you here with that sort of
attitude.
Thank you and good bye.

Actually, you can install it on a lot of computers. If you have the software
and the codes, it can be done because I did it just last year. If I had the
key codes I wouldn't have come here to this site in the first place. Joann,
do you work for microsoft? I find it hard to believe that you do. If you did,
you would have known that with the codes, most computers built after 2000
could load the office 2000 software or download it from the Microsoft site
for a price. Amazing.

You can't install it on another computer. When you purchase an OEM version,
it lives and dies on the computer that it came installed on. That's why it
cost less than full retail.
Your only option now is to buy a retail version of Office 2003.

Not on my current computer. My previous computer was pre loaded and it
also
came with the two-cd microsoft office 2000 small business version which I
loaded on my current computer last year. I had the cd-key codes then but
as I
explained earlier, I threw the codes out or misplaced them. Now I'm just
trying to find a way to load this on my computer without the codes. I know
the codes were used for a reason, but there still should be a way to load
this. I did pay for it and I'd like to use it.

Did Office come preinstalled on your computer when you purchased it?

On the back of the Office 2000 Manual/Book that came with my computer,
there
were codes on the sticker. Unfortunately, I've misplaced or thrown it
out.
Is
there any way to load my software into my computer again without the
number/letter codes?
"JoAnn Paules [MVP]" wrote:
The code is not in a book. It was on a sticker that said "Do not lose
this
sticker".
Did your copy of Office come preinstalled by your computer
manufacturer
or
did you buy it separately?

My computer crashed so I'm starting all over. I do not have the
Office
2000
book with the required codes it ask for at the beginning. Is there a
way
to
install without the codes from the back of the Office 2000 book?
