If you've lost your installation CD for Office 2000 then you may need
to invest in another version of Office since Office 2000 is no longer
supported by Microsoft. IOW, you can't obtain a replacement CD from
them.
You may find one on eBay or similar site but if you qualify for the
Student and Teacher Edition of Office 2003 then that may be the
cheapest route to take:

Office premium 2000 - windows me - bought computer, sat for long
time because
I didn't know how to use. Started using it, picked up a very bad
porno
virus. In trying to get rid of it accidentally deleted data1.msi
files and
dll files, whatever that means. Keep getting error 1706 asking me
for disk
which was lost when I moved, cannot download anything - tells me may
not have
permission, others tell me contact tech support. 'cannot find valid
source'.
So now, Word, Excel, outlook, power point, front page do not work.
Adobe
tells me plug ins fail to initialize and flash screws up. Started
when all
files containing "flash" were accidentally deleted. Got rid of the
porn
though! So how do I 1) get hold of another disk or 2) get the files
back?
Saw retrieving data files on microsoft page but doesn't tell me how
to get
them or download them. Have had to resort to using my Commodore to
type
anything! Please, in plain simple English tell me how to fix this
mess!
Thanks!
