There is nothing better, but there is something less expensive, less
polished, less integrated, less features.. look at WordPerfect Office, Lotus
SmartSuite, Open Office..

It is hardly the fault of Microsoft that your school has so many variations
of Office in use, and your outburst born of the inconvenience caused by
installing all different versions is hardly a lesson that you want to pass
on to the kids, that of 'when you screw up, blame somebody else'..
