Re: creating multiple .pst file for multiple outlook 2000 users

Okay, based on your answer, the easiest method is to just use appointment
items to "invite" your users to events. When creating an event, just use
the "add attendees" button from the appointment item's toolbar to get to the
window that allows you to add people to the event/appointment.

After furious head scratching, kay (tn) asked:

| I apologize, I seem to have offended you. I have never accessed this
| sight before and received no further information on my last post, so
| I decided to start all over again. I thought I had answered your
| prior questions, but will try again. I'm not sure of all the setup
| details you would like, so please let me know if you need further
| information
|
| PC #1 running Windows XP, Outlook 2003 (downstairs)
| PC #2 runs Windows 98, Outlook 2000 (Internet Mail only)on a wireless
| DLINK to
| PC #1(upstairs)
|
| PC #2 - I have setup 2 different users through the Windows 98 (Control
| Panel/Users). Each user was set up w/ different Startup, Documents
| Folders, etc.
| Each user has a different email addresses.
|
| My QUESTION IS:
| I would like to be able to send calendar invitations to my 2
| children (separate users and email addresses) and have them keep
| their own personal calendars separate and up to date.
|
| I have realized this file reside in the .pst folders. I found
| instructions on the microsoft website that instructed me on how to
| 'move' the pst file and then change the Properties/Data Files
| selection to point to the new location. My hope was to move the
| original, then create a new on for the 2nd user. However, when I
| select the Properties for my windows users, I do not have a Data
| Files Selection tab or button. I realized I may have hit a dead end.
|
| Your last answer to me stated that what I was trying to achieve was
| not possible w/Internet Mail only. I've looked everywhere on my
| system and that was the decision I was coming to, however, I hate to
| give up on an something when it only makes sense that it should be
| possible.
|
| I'm not a computer expert, just a mom, who is trying to help her
| youth learn to use computers to help organize their lives. I very
| much appreciate all your help.
|
| Please let me know if there are additional set up details you may
| need.
