Save word?

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Every time I save word in XP and open it, it always goes to the beginning. I
want to save it where I left off at so I don't have to scroll down each
time. I went to tools under options and then the save tab, but I don't know
which one it is and I'm not sure I'm in the right place? Does anyone know?
