Default save directory

In Office 2003, when I open a file that was an attachment to an email, and
then attempt to do a File Save As, the directory is always OLK1. A
subdirectory of the Temporary Internet Files. Why doesn't the directory that
I set up as my default for files selected, and how do I stop Office
applications from using the pesky OLK1 directory?
