how do I recover missing msp files in MSoffice?

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Since applying some updates for Office 2000 I seem to have lost my spell
checker files MsSpell3.dll and mssp232.dll. I tried to reinstall/repair from
my Office CD but this failed to run because it could not find the
Winwordop.msp file. The MS "check for updates" will not work either, again
because msp files are missing. How do I repair this damage please?
Colin.
