I have a single user on our network who is unable to open any office
documents direct from their location. . . i.e. double clicking on the
document icon in its saved position. He is able to open all documents if he
goes into the relevant office application and uses the file/open route. He is
also unable to open any e-mail attachments unless he first saves them and
then opens them from within the relevant application using the file/open
route.
I have tried recreating the users profile, renaming the profile., renaming
the user altogether, re-installing windows office 2000. None of these have
rectified the problem. Any suggestions would be most appreciated. The user is
connecting from a thinclient via terminal services on a Small Business Server
2000 server.
