I am having problems installing Office 2003.

I cannot install Office 2003. I am running Xp Pro SP2 and every installation
stops in
the middle without any error code. Soon after, the system responds with"
this program is no longer responding." Is there something I need to disable
or close out.........Please help!!!!!!!!!!
