Problem installing Office - waiting for cabinets to cache?

I'm trying to install Office XP 2003 on a brand new laptop. It gets stuck at
the very beginning of the actual installation, and it says "Waiting for
cabinets to be cached to local installation source ... File: CR561401.CAB."

No clue what this means or what to do!
