Hi everyone:

I didn't know where else to post (please ignore/forgive me if this is
irrelevant.)

I am working for a company (just hired) that offers hourly payment. No
written promise of benefits, insurance, overtime etc., However, after a
week (believe it or not) I now suspect this company is an L-1 visa
holder. Is anyone familiar with this visa type? I am thinking of
quitting due to sweat-shop-like responsibility. For instance, I take
care of accounting, HR, receptionist, office manager, marketing etc.,
the list goes on....

I am an entry level administrative assistant, and my boss is vague about
many things which makes doing work far more difficult for instance,
applying for any service on his behalf which requires a credit card is
rather difficult, as you know, many services such as AT&T requires
credit information for security purposes.... I am new to this position,
and on the verge of quitting, but I can't afford to quit. Should I look
for another job or feel lucky that I "have" a job. It took me months to
finally get this job.... I am in need of some desperate advice... any
advice would be greatly appreciated! I realize job descriptions of
administrative assistants are vague at best - feeling pretty naive
here.... Thanks.

Kathy
