Hi Rochelle,

The OfficeOnline template files use an add-in control that is added
to your browser by the Office site. The templates open
in to the correct Office application and then you can
use File=>Save As to save it either as a document or template
file on your PC.

While you won't need the following to use the feature...
The template files are downloaded to the temporary internet files
directory as part of a .cab file in the current implementation
for Office 2003. The .cab file name contains a template
that matches the page you're on at
  http://office.microsoft.com/templates

For example, the Thanksgiving Day greeting card for MS Word
located here:
 http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/TC010195591033.aspx
will download a cabfile listed as
 "file.aspx?AssetID=TC010195591033&ax=1&CTT71" (assuming you're
setup for 'U.S. English'. (note the 'TC01019559 in both, the 1033
is the 'English'

If you open that file it will give you the option to save
it to your drive as a .cab file named 01019559.cab

but it's easier just to open them into your apps and then save
from there. Make sure that if you're using a firewall that
it allows the apps to pull in the templates for you, and don't
forget to 'vote' (rate) each template using the Taskpane
that will appear in your Office 2003 apps.

Hello. I've been recently using the Office 2003 ONLINE features which
includes downloading letter templates and clip art. More specificially, when
I click on the download button for a letter template, the normal "save to
disk/open from its current location" is NOT an option. In otherwords, the
templates simply download after clicking on the download button. Therefore,
my questions are 1)are these letter templates being saved on my computer, if
so, where? 2) are these clip arts being saved on my computer, if so, where?
I'm asking these questions because I foresee myself using the exact same
ones and I'm not sure if I have to download them every time or if they are
saved
on my pc somewhere. Thank you in advance. Rochelle.
