Error Loading Problem

I have two problems which I am unable to resolve. First.
Computer has MS Office Teacher edition:
When I turn computer on it loads and when finished I get
the following error message:
Error loading C;|windows\downloaded program
files\bridge.dll
the specified module could not be found.
Any help in fixing that.
Then on the same computer I am unable to access Xcel,
Word, PPT. or Internet Explorer from the desktop.
When I try I get:
Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or
file. You may not have appropriate permission to access
the item.
I am able to access all from the start button and program
menue?
Any resolution for me.
Please let me know thanks.
