Try placing the question in the body of the message insted of the
subject line. And just guessing that your problems stem from not wanting
to close apps before shut down. Well, you have options. Hibernate the
system, or edit the registry so the operating system will dump your work
should you choose shutdown. Posting your question to the newsgroup
dealing with the operating system you use will result in more usefull
directions.
