The short answer is that if you don't plan to use Office 2003, then uninstall
it before you try to install Office 2000. If you want both versions on your
computer, you should install Office 2000 first, which means you'll have to
uninstall Office 2003, but then you won't be able to reinstall Office 2003
because it's an OEM trial version. See
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=828956 "Information about running multiple
versions of Office with Office 2003" for more info.
