You say:
"We are an elementary school district and want to start teaching
students how to use Publisher as part of our curriculum "
OK, I am old. However, I do not understand your approach for an "elementary
...curriculum". Publisher is a professional program for formatting
documents for, as the name implies, publishing. At the elementary level
should you not be more oriented to the basics.
You do realize that to use Publisher 2003, all of your computers must have
Windows XP or Windows 2000 {at least SP 3} as there operating system?
If your computers have Windows 98 or later they already have WordPad. While
WordPad is a basic word processor without a spell check, it is IOM suitable
to start your elementary students. For the next level, I would suggest
Word.
