I use clear type on both lcd and crt and I don't notice anything wrong with
selected text - it's white text on black. The highlighters are also 'normal'
colors. Blue www in urls have artifacting, but it's not unreadable.
Did you use the configuration at the web site or just the windows setting?
You might want to change the online choices if highlighting is a problem.
