Re: Change hyperlink in all office files


Hi Ben,

Files can be protected, read-only or protected on other levels, how to
work around all of this.
The users points out an directory of drive to check, the tool has to
loop through all files and check if there are hyperlinks which need to
be changed
The tool should change all hyperlinks in Word, Excel,
The tool should be able to change unc-path but also there should be an
options to only change a directory
for example change //server1/mydir* into //server1/newdir*
Or change *Excelfile.xls into *Excelfile.xlt
There should also be a check if the new hyperlink file exists
There should also be a logfile where we can check wich hyperlinks from
wich file has been changed, filepath - filename - hyperlink old -
hyperlink new - fileexists yes/no - errornr
If there is someone out there who can code this tool in 1 hour or even
in 2 hours, please let me know!!!
