Message: "A field on this form requires a value"

We have a form that was recently modified that now pops up the message "A
field on this form requires a value" when the form has been opened for input
for some period of time. Basically, it appears that if the user has opened
and begun input to the form, but doesn't complete input for some period of
time, this message box pops up automatically.

There is one text box field that is set up to require entry on this form.

Seems like strange behavior. What is the problem that is causing this?

Thanks,
