I understand that quite some time passed since but since we keep running into this problem with other add-ins that we develop.
Please let me know if after this time a solution is available.

On Aug 10 2005 (message ID <e45lp8UnFHA.2700@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>), you suggested a workaround, in the form of a change to the hosting applications.

That was not a complete solution since it only affects the hosting applications under our control, the problem will still happen with any 3rd-party hosting application. We would like to see a solution on the add-in side since it is clear that this is where the problem is.

Nevertheless, I would still like to tinker with the hosting app solution and will appreciate a copy of the attachment that you mentioned in your post (it did not make it to Usenet).
